My Story
Hi, I’m Loukia, a proud mum of two incredible grown up kids, happily married for over 25 years, and turning 50 in 2026 with more energy and purpose than I ever imagined I’d have.

But it wasn’t always this way.

About a decade ago, I was in a car accident that completely changed the rhythm of my life. What followed was a long and often confusing journey that led to a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia, a chronic condition that causes widespread pain, fatigue, and sensitivity throughout the body. It’s invisible, unpredictable, and for years, it made it incredibly difficult to work consistently, stay active, or even feel like myself.

Some days were harder than others. The idea of committing to a regular job or routine felt impossible. But I knew I had to find something that gave me both strength and flexibility, physically and emotionally.

That’s when I found Pilates.

At first, it was a gentle way to move again. Then, it became something bigger. It helped me reconnect with my body, regain control, and feel empowered rather than limited. Over time, Pilates gave me a new lease on life and with it, a new purpose.
So I made a decision: I trained, I qualified, and now I’m turning this passion into a career. Not just for myself, but for others. Especially those who feel like movement has become complicated or painful, and those who live with conditions, like fibromyalgia, that don’t come with simple fixes.

I understand what it’s like to feel stuck in your body. I also know how incredible it feels to find strength again and I want to help others discover that, too.

This isn’t just about fitness. It’s about feeling good in your skin, finding freedom in movement, and reclaiming the joy in living. If you’ve ever thought I can’t, I’m here to show you that maybe, just maybe, you actually can.

Let’s move forward together.

Postural Analysis

Before: Analysis Stage
After 14 Sessions

Client story: Louisa’s journey
When Louisa first came to me, she was concerned about her posture and recurring shoulder pain. During our initial postural analysis I noticed her shoulder blades (scapula) were protracted, and she displayed hyper-mobility in her arms - which meant she was overextending during movement and unknowingly straining the muscles around her shoulders and upper back.

I also observed that she was placing excess pressure through three toes on her right foot - a subtle sign that her weight distribution was off, likely causing her to lean more heavily to one side.

Over the course of 14 sessions, we worked gently with targeted Pilates exercises focused on control, alignment, and core engagement, Louisa gradually built strength in her upper body - and her core is now significantly stronger.

The transformation has been both physical and postural, and her progress has been incredible to witness.

"Thank you so much, and I’ll continue with all the exercises over the next few months — focusing on getting my core even stronger and rebuilding my shoulder strength."

Postural Analysis

See what your body is really saying — before it speaks in pain.
At Live Young Pilates, a Postural Analysis is often the first step toward understanding why you feel the way you do in your body — and what I can do to help you feel strong again.

Our posture is the foundation for every movement we make. Small imbalances or misalignments — whether from injury, chronic habits, or lifestyle — can lead to strain, stiffness, and discomfort over time. Many clients come in with pain in the neck, shoulders, lower back, or hips, not realising the root cause is something as simple as how they stand, sit, or walk.

What is a Postural Analysis?
A Postural Analysis is a one-to-one assessment where I observe how your body holds itself in stillness and motion. I look closely at your alignment, weight distribution, joint positioning, and muscular imbalances — from head to toe.
This isn’t about judging your posture — it’s about understanding your body’s unique story.

You’ll receive:
-
A visual assessment (standing, seated, and possibly moving)
-
Insight into areas of weakness, tightness, or overcompensation
-
Personalised feedback on how your posture may be affecting pain, mobility, or performance
-
A tailored plan to improve alignment, reduce discomfort, and move with more freedom

Who is it for?
-
Anyone experiencing ongoing pain or tension without clear cause
-
People with sedentary jobs or repetitive movement patterns
-
Those recovering from injury or managing chronic conditions
-
Anyone curious about how they can feel better in their body — every day

Even small changes in posture can have a big impact. Whether you're just starting Pilates or deepening your practice, a postural analysis gives us the roadmap to move forward — safely, consciously, and effectively.

Duration: 2 hours
Price: £45*
This in-depth session gives you insight into how your body moves — and what may be holding you back.

During your Postural Analysis, I’ll assess your alignment by gently palpating bony landmarks, observing posture, and identifying any imbalances or compensations. We’ll also go through the five basic principles of STOTT PILATES, followed by two foundational ‘blueprint’ exercises you can begin using right away.

From there, I’ll design a personalised program based on your current movement patterns, any injuries or conditions you may have, and what your body needs most.

Please wear fitted clothing that allows me to observe your alignment clearly, and bring a pair of socks for the session.

Whether you’re brand new to movement or looking for a more personal approach, I offer one-to-one and small group sessions designed to meet your body where it is — and help you move forward with confidence.
